I wrote this... ‘Dusk And Summer’ Dusk falls on a warm summer day The end of everything we know Tomorrow is the beginning of a new life I go my own way And you go yours It goes with the saying ‘Nothing lasts forever in dusk and summer’ 2500 miles away Its hard to take My best friend is leaving All the years come back to me All the laughter and the memories I start to cry You tell me not to worry That you’ll be back Out of your pocket you get a box “Open it” you say I look inside and I see your rosary “To remember me by” I can not hold my tears any longer You taught me all I know I am who I am because of you You may leave But know you are missed Nothing lasts forever in dusk and summer
